Ethan V. Mangum, an American scholar at the University of St Andrews in Scotland, is a shining example of dedication to academic excellence. As a Master of Letters (MLitt) candidate and elected Chairman of the Class Representatives for the Business School, he has consistently demonstrated his commitment to his studies. Ethan's academic prowess is complemented by his achievements as a scholar-athlete and world-ranked amateur golfer, who has won 37 amateur and professional titles collectively.
In 2015, The Mount Vernon School administrators chose Ethan to participate in the Global Leadership Summit in Davos, Switzerland, and Stockholm, Sweden. Through this experience as a U.S. GLN Ambassador, Ethan passionately advocated education policy for global communities, demonstrating the need to address developmental issues and provide primary education for thousands of students globally. Then, in 2023, the 46th President of the United States honored Ethan as an AmeriCorps Lifetime Achievement Award recipient for accumulating 8,000+ hours of national service. These experiences have equipped him with immense knowledge and expertise in innovation, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and beyond.
Ethan's leadership and organizational skills are evident in his role as a co-founder and Chairman of The Blockchain Club at William & Mary. The Blockchain Club, officially chartered and recognized at The College of William & Mary on November 15, 2023, is a testament to Ethan's ability to unite student-led Blockchain coalitions. His efforts led to the creation of a thriving network that influenced the passing of U.S. Virginia Senate Bill No. 339 on March 4, 2024. Ethan's diverse areas of interest, including foreign and monetary policy, competitive golf, and community service initiatives, further demonstrate his multifaceted capabilities.
